Education is not preparation for life but education is life itself. As evident by Reverend Samson’s own life experiences, supporting a child to acquire an education means transforming a whole family.
You can sponsor a child’s education for $50 per month or $600 per year. This educational scholarship involves paying for school fees, school supplies, sports equipment, Christian mentorship and providing lunch during the school week, if needed. Christian mentorship includes counseling services for orphans and financially challenged parents as well as helping street children reunite with their families.
When you adopt a child, you change their Destiny through education, secular and Christian, and Christian guidance in their walk to greatness and leadership in Africa. We will also provide you with the opportunity to send communication (email or mail) as well as receive regular progress reports about how your child is doing in school.donate now
Vocational Bible School (VBS) is a youth bible study program administered by Change Destiny Life Africa with the goal of engaging and teaching the word of God to our sponsored students so they can spread his love to their families and their communities. VBS is coordinated through our organization as a way of extending love, care and the Word of God.
You can sponsor a weekly VBS for $100 per week. Your gift will provide a safe location, transportation and snacks for our 24 sponsored students and volunteers.
This wonderful program in fulfilling the great commission of Jesus Christ by bringing children together every Saturday for Bible study, worship and themed activities aimed at teaching Christian principles for leading a Christ-centered life.
We have a mandate from God to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it,” Proverbs 22:6. This verse doesn’t only apply within the family, but also in the church and society as well. The purpose of VBS is to show our children “the way” of Christ and teach them how to share God’s Word with others in their communities.donate now
We are blessed to send teams from the U.S., Canada and around the world to minister to our children and partner on special projects. Our first U.S.-based mission trip took place in summer 2022 and our first two global mission trips took place in summer and fall 2023.
Enjoy these higlights from our summer 2022 mission trip. We would love to have you join us!
24 Sponsored Students
The Lord’s purpose for this trip was to meet our 24 sponsored students (they already know Samson!), learn about their hopes and dreams, and form lasting relationships as we support them in their educational and spiritual journeys. Tears of joy were flowing as we finally embraced the kids we loved before we met. Our activities consisted of weekend excursions like hiking, enjoying wildlife and attending church as well as weekday lessons centered on the “Fruits of the Spirit.” Along the way, there was plenty of singing, dancing, games and coloring.
24 New Bibles
During our final celebration dinner, we gifted the students with their own Bibles. Words cannot express the pure joy on their faces! We look forward to encouraging them as they spend time in God’s Word, draw closer to Him and form meaningful relationships that will lead to eternal joy
Countless New Games
The kids loved playing favorites like musical chairs, “freeze dance” and soccer. We also enjoyed teaching them new games including “Uno,” Bingo, “Go Fish,” bag toss and sharks and minnows. Perhaps the biggest hits were “Uno,” Bingo and bag toss — all games were left in Kenya and we’ve received quite a few updates on some fun Uno matches since returning home!
8 Mile Round Trip Hike at Mount Longonot
Mount Longonot is a stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Our volunteers and students had fun hiking this exciting, yet vigorous trail, and were rewarded with incredible views at the top and ice cream at the bottom. Along the way, we saw zebras, gazelle and more. This experience also proved educational as we could teach about life’s “peaks and valleys,” helping one another and the importance of never giving up.
